Levo help · Cleaning up
Cleanup levels: Careful, Balanced, Aggressive and Everything
The cleanup level is how far Levo goes when it picks what to tick. It changes what gets ticked, never what the safety checks allow.
The three levels
| Careful | Only what comes back on its own, like caches and build files, and only once it hasn't changed for about a week. |
|---|---|
| Balanced | Also what's slow to get back but downloads again. Items need to have sat for about a day. |
| Aggressive | Also costly things to get back, such as runtimes, SDKs, models and browsers, once they've sat unused for a while. Quiet time shrinks to about an hour. |
These are Levo's own defaults. Once your agent has judged an item, it decides: it says how long that kind of thing should be idle at each level, with a reason. Levo applies that as the item ages, and asks again after a week or when something material changes.
Everything
In the popover's Select menu, Everything ticks every item the safety checks allow, whatever its level. Nothing clears all ticks. Smartly ticks by your level. See Smartly.
What no level changes
- Your protected folders and Levo's never-touch list.
- Anything open or in use: a running program, an open file, a live agent session.
- Git work that isn't clean and merged.
- Anything changed in the last five minutes, or within your own Keep what changed within setting.
- User data, and anything the agent says to keep.
Set your level
Settings › Agent › Cleanup level, or the Select menu in the popover. You can also pick a level in ⌘K. A good start is Balanced. Move to Careful if you want fewer surprises, and to Aggressive when you need the space now.
