Levo help · For your kind of Mac

For people who don’t code: caches, downloads and old installers

You don’t need to write code to fill a Mac. Browsers, chat apps and music apps all keep caches, and old installers and backups stay in your folders for years. Levo finds them, and you decide what goes.

What Levo looks for

What’s ticked and what isn’t

Caches and old installers are the safe kind: apps make them again. They’re what Levo ticks first. Your phone backups, chat media, large old files and the Trash are listed with their sizes and ticked by you only. Photos, Mail, Messages, iCloud Drive, your Keychain and your Music library are never touched at all.

Do I need an agent?

It helps, and it’s free apart from your own plan with the agent. If you don’t have one, Levo still watches your Mac, warns you when space is low and lists everything above that it knows about. With an agent, Levo can also explain things it doesn’t have a name for, and tick with more care. See Levo without an agent.

Remove an app properly

Dragging an app to the Trash leaves its support files behind. Press ⌘K, type “uninstall” and the app’s name, and Levo lists the app and what it left behind. See Uninstall apps and their leftovers.

Will I lose anything?

Clean what Levo ticks and nothing important changes: apps rebuild their caches, and an old installer is a download away. If you’d like a safety net for what you tick by hand, turn on Move to Trash in Settings › Agent, and what you clean goes to the Trash until you empty it.
