Levo help · Cleaning up
Put back what you cleaned
Whether you can undo a cleanup depends on how it was removed. Be sure of the setting before you rely on it.
When it went to the Trash
By default, Levo deletes what you clean for good. Turn on Move to Trash in Settings › Agent and what you clean by hand goes to the Trash instead. Then you can put it back until the Trash is emptied:
- Click Undo on the "Cleaned …" notification right after a clean. It says "Put back 12 GB" when done.
- Or open the items in the Trash in Finder and choose Put Back.
Uninstalled apps
An app you uninstall always goes to the Trash with its leftovers. Right afterwards, open ⌘K and choose Put back followed by the app's name, for example "Put back Zoom". Levo puts the app and its leftovers back. If some leftovers can't return, it says so: the app is back, and the toast names what stayed.
What can't be undone
- Anything cleaned with Move to Trash off. The confirm step marks these "Deleted for good".
- Everything Auto mode cleans.
- Items an official command removed, such as a simulator deleted with its own tool.
- Anything after you empty the Trash. Removing items from the Trash is permanent.
Tick old Trash items
Settings › Agent also has Tick old items in the Trash, off by default. On, Levo ticks what has sat in the Trash long enough for your level: 30 days at Careful, 7 at Balanced, and anything not put there today at Aggressive. Cleaning those is permanent.
Not sure? Turn on Move to Trash. It costs nothing, and the space comes back when you empty the Trash.
